Dysrhythmia Interpretation & Therapeutic Modalities
This program will provide the participant with the knowledge and skills needed to correctly identify the common cardiac dysrhythmias. It will include a discussion of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and the conduction system. Medication therapeutics will also be a focus.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, the participant will be able to:
1.Describe the normal cardiac anatomy, physiology and cardiac conduction system
2. Describe the waves and intervals of the cardiac cycle and state their normal values
3. List the steps of rhythm interpretation
4. Identify the following types of dysrhythmias from a rhythm strip
a. Sinus rhythms b. Atrial rhythms c. Supraventricular rhythms d. Junctional rhythms e. AV and bundle branch blocks f. Asystole g. Basic pacemaker function
Discuss the commonly used drugs and therapies used to treat each of the above dysrhythmias

Space is limited and will be assigned in the order that registration forms are received. Advance registration is strongly recommended for all programs. Registration is not complete until appropriate registration fee is enclosed. If course includes text, payments must be received prior to obtaining course materials.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
A refund less 20 percent will be given if written notification of cancellation is received 14 days prior to program date. There will be no refund for cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the program date. Long Beach Memorial Medical Center reserves the right to make program changes or to cancel any program based on enrollment. Pre-registered participants will be notified of program cancellation and will receive a full refund. Additional specific policies regarding refund/cancellation are noted per class where they apply.
C.E. Credit:
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 512, for 21.5 contact hours.
Certificates are issued upon completion of the entire course and registration requirements.
